Last Message Error in FileSystem Overall Status: 'Full'

This error occured on Friday night. It is a channel part of Netapp System Health Status. Can someone please define what this channel is monitoring and why it is giving an error of "Full". I have checked the Netapp and none of the volumes or LUNs are full. Need a bit of clarification on exactly what this does.

Many thanks

We are using an oid, that is defined in the official NETWORK-APPLIANCE-MIB(1.3.6.1.4.1.789.1.5.7.1.0).

You can use our SNMP Tester, to get the oid 1.3.6.1.4.1.789.1.5.7.1.0

The values returned can be understood like this(this is also defined in the NetApp MIB):

Status CodeFile System StatusPRTG Sensor Status
1OkOk
2Nearly FullWarning
3FullError

Here is a description for 'fsStatus':

"An indication of overall file system health. 'ok' indicates that all file systems have adequate space. 'nearlyFull' means that one or more is nearly full (more than 95% full). 'full' means that one or more are more than 98% full."

Is it possible to disable the alert for this channel of the sensor? I have tried hiding it and setting limits but it always stays in the error state.

Hi James,

You can click on the "FileSystem Overall Status" channel and choose None" for the value lookup. This will prevent the sensor from going down.

Best regards, Felix
