I am new to PRTG, just trying the demo right now and setting up lots of devices and sensors. For my Exchange 2010 monitoring, I have a list of about 100 objects to monitor via WMI (got the list from MS Technet).
I want to setup all these WMI sensors, using the PH1,PH2 or PH1,PH2,PH3 WMI scripts but it takes forever to manually add them.
1) Is there a way to bulk insert sensors, like upload from CSV? Or if not, is that gonna be added to v9? Seems like at least with the WMI placeholder scripts that an import from csv should be pretty simple to add to the system.
2) Is there a way to create a single WMI script that returns many values, and map those multiple values to channels (rather than creating a new sensor for each WMI query)
Any other suggestions for adding lots of sensors?

Hi I have a similar situation. We have around 900 routers we would like to add, is there a way to import this via a cvs file, pref with location set?

Hello,
I'm afraid Bulk-Adding of custom sensors is not possible (and also not planned for PRTG 9). You could consider cloning existing sensors, but then again, you would have to change the settings afterwards which probably takes up the same amount of time.
best regards.
