How to change the name of a channel

Is it possible to change the name of a channel?

I have a bunch of sensor channels using SSH advanced sensor from a script, and I want change the name of some of the channels.

As far as I can tell I can easily change the name in my script, and I'll get a new channel for each of my sensors with the new name, but I'm left with the old channel (with the old name) not receiving any data. I can delete and add the sensor and everything is cleaned up, but then I lose the sensor history, which I want to keep.

Changing a channel name here is not possible, I'm afraid. The only workaround here would be either recreating the sensor and as you already mentioned loosing history or you might disable the old channel in the Sensor Channel Settings. Best regards
