prtg gathers correct netflow sensor values for a (Cisco 3850 device running IOS XE 3.2.3) interface in table format (as seen in the "top connections" table) but none of the sensor graphs ("live data", "24 hours", etc.) correctly reflect those values. how can to correct this issue in prtg?

Are you using a "regular" Netflow sensor or the (Custom) variant? Please mind that when using the (Custom) variant you need correctly assign traffic to channels via the channel definition using filter rules.
Please also not that toplists usually "rank" data from 15 minute intervals, willst the Live Data and other tabs will display information based on the sensor's scanning interval.
