I have created custom icons for our NOC dashboard and need map icons that do not have any text. Our basic model is we have a background image of all of our sites, custom icon goes over building and icon changes with status - red or green for any device in the building. Then user selects second map to bring up the building/floor topo with the sensor info.

So you thought of a transparent, status related square symbol to surround parts of the background image?

I don't think I am clear about requirements: I created a custom status aware icons that change color (red=down, green=up) I don't want the default name/device status/count
