We just started using PRTG, but so far I love the monitoring we get with PRTG. We started with monitoring firewall/switch traffic and VPNs (enabled netflow, really cool!) as well as monitor iDRACs to check on hard drive status, etc. Recently started using it to monitor SQL Express databases to ensure we are warned before the 10GB limit reached. I would like to see what we can get from a APC UPS next...
Just curious how everyone else is using PRTG and what creative monitoring you may have setup in the past to solve or proactively prevent any issues in your environment?

Installed PRTG about a month ago in our Office and it's working great!
So far, besides the standard sensors I have had to be a bit creative to monitor 2 things. For monitoring a Physical servers backup I check the age of the backup files to see if it ran. For monitoring our connection to the internet I create a Factory Sensor that goes into error state ONLY when all 3 internet pings are down.
Since we have had PRTG it has proved itself at least once when a customer called that he was experiencing performance issues... I was already checking the servers when my coworker came to inform me:).
