Is there a way with PRTG to pre-define a configuration if I will know the entire network configuration ahead of time, instead of relying on Auto-discovery?

You could create devices based on predefined device templates, but that will be rather tedious. Why not the auto discovery?

It's a rather long story, and it's something that has to do with our particular problem, which is unimportant to the problem at hand. Consider it a requirement :)

We've got a system that will have multiple pre-known configurations, that will be cycled through not infrequently, so it would be better to have a pre-made set of configuration files, one for each system configuration so we can just load "Config 1" when we need it. Additionally, the monitoring system may be up before other components, so we just want it to be ready to runas things come up each time the system is re-configured rather than let Auto-discovery go through its song an dance and not be entirely sure it caught everything.

Ah okay - well, sorry; that's not possible as of right now :( And not a planned feature as far as I know.
