I am using the Dell PowerEdge Physical disk sensor on my Dell servers and after upgrading these sensors are intermittently showing a down state with the error message "DNS could not be resolved socket error #11004(socket error #11004)"

There may be 6 physical disks on a server but only 1 or 2 sensors are showing the down state?

Do the host names (for the devices in error state) contain any special characters? Could you try if you can reach those devices by their IP instead of their host name?

Hi thanks for your reply, turns out the network card was faulty! I found conectivity errors in the servers event logs. Event ID: 27 Source: e1kexpress Message Network link has been disconnected I've now installed a new card and have had no issues since. Sorry to waste you time.
