Update: The SNMP Linux Meminfo v2 sensor is available as of PRTG 25.3.108. The channels better align with how free and available memory is calculated in Linux and accounts for buffered and cached memory as well.
Hello community, maybe you can help again, because I could not find any solutions while searching the internet. When querying the memory of Oracle Linux 7.5 UEK Kernel via SNMPv3, there is a difference of more than 30% between what Linux provides via free -m and PRTG. Sometimes the difference is more than 2 GB. The PRTG server and the Linux server are in the same VLAN. Do you have an idea?
We are in despair here and are also doubting our monitoring with PRTG.
Thank you all so far. Best regards Simon Baumbach
