I just recently set up PRTG to monitor 2 server nodes, and I want to be able to monitor the SQL databases on each. I added the Microsoft SQL v2 sensor and added all the correct information to the settings, but I keep getting this error:

A connection was successfully established with the server, but then an error occurred during the pre-login handshake. (provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - The specified network name is no longer available.)(Connectionstring: Data Source=X.X.X.X\SQLHATEST,5022;Initial Catalog=HRDatabase;User ID=HATEST0\administrator;Password=;Connect Timeout=60)

The server instance name is correct, but if I change it to something completely different like ZZZ I get the same error, so I assume I am missing something other than just SQLHATEST.

I ended up using the wmi sensor to monitor my sql database. But still not sure what this error is, or how I can fix it
